Our delivery systems

We work with NZ Post to deliver your order within the specified delivery targets.

Cutoff times

The cutoff for same-week delivery or pickup is 12pm on Wednesdays. Orders placed after this time will be sent the following week.

Delivery days

We distribute weekly on Thursday mornings. Frozen-delivery customers (Greater Wellington) receive their order on Thursday afternoon/evening. Overnight (defrosted) customers across the North Island receive their order any time on the Friday.

Pickup times

By selecting Pickup at checkout, you agree to collect your order from the farm shop during these hours:

• Thursday 10am – 5pm
• Friday 11am – 5pm
• Saturday 9am – 5pm
• Sunday 10am – 5pm

Shelf life & storage

All of our meat is dispatched frozen. If it arrives still frozen, keep it in the freezer — each pack shows the date it was frozen, and it is at its best within about six months (and safe for 6–12 months frozen). Thaw in the fridge, not on the bench. Once thawed and kept refrigerated, cook whole cuts (steaks, roasts, chops) within 3–5 days and mince or sausages within 1–2 days. If a cut thawed in the fridge, it is safe to refreeze — you may just notice a slight change in texture. If your box arrives and the contents are warm, please do not consume them and advise us immediately at shop@mangaroa.org.

On your payment receipt

The name that appears on your statement will be MANGAROA FARMS.

Payment currency

Your account will be charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

Cancellation policy

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to accept cancellations less than one working day before the delivery date. Please contact shop@mangaroa.org if you need assistance.

Purchase policy & order cutoff times

All orders for same-week delivery need to be placed by midnight on Wednesdays.

Changes to terms

If we need to change these terms, we will make every reasonable effort to let you know.

Price & price changes

All prices are in NZ dollars. Price changes will be clearly specified on the website, and we will make every reasonable effort to notify the buyer at least one week before the change.

Credit card & online payments

Payments are processed through Stripe. Credit card information is not stored by us. Your card will be charged when your order is packed (with finalised variable meat sizes). Payment details must be received before orders are shipped.

Refunds

If you are unhappy with any of our products, we will offer a replacement item. If the issue cannot be resolved, we will refund the payment.

Mangaroa Farms is a registered non-profit, limited company, wholly owned by the Biome Trust.
